The RMCSR is an independent, tax exempt (IRS code 501(c)3) charitable foundation comprised of a consortium of scientists, engineers, and clinical professionals dedicated to the sports community. We specialize in movement research and the development of cutting-edge technology to advance the understanding of how athletes become injured, recover and return to competition.
Our mission is to enhance movement performance, safety and long-term health through research and technology.
Founded in 2016, the RMSR has three satellite offices located in Edwards, Parker and Aspen Colorado. These offices organize and/or perform movement research, develop movement technology, lead or direct movement training programs and provide community outreach services. All research projects and services are performed remotely via our mobile biomechanics and performance laboratory. The summary of our services that we provide are listed below.
The Q Lab is the RMCSR's mobile biomechanics laboratory that uses wearable sensors and state-of-the-art optical systems to measure joint motions, neuromuscular activation, physiological function and external forces to quantify an athlete's movement quality, performance and workload.
We offer our movement evaluation services for selected days, training camps or even for entire seasons. We will bring the science team and the movement technology to quantify your athlete's movement performance and provide you with actionable feedback.
We partner with the Human Dynamics Laboratory at the University of Denver to offer a full spectrum of research services from full movement research and/or clinical studies; or assistance with the components of a study including study design, methodology, instrumentation, measurement, statistical analysis, human subjects testing and more.
We offer consulting and product development services ranging from the design and prototyping of new products to the evaluation of current products. We have a team of engineers that specialize in musculoskeletal and shape modeling, AI and big data; and applied movement scientists to make the heavy computations digestible to the average consumer.
The RMCSR's Performance Center performs a wide range of training services for improved fitness, athletic performance and safety. We specialize in field-based training programs but also provide internet-based tele-training services. See how the RMCSR Community Movement app can be utilized to provide free training services for your athlete or team.
