Background. The RMCSR spearheaded a collaboration with the University of Denver's Pioneer Performance, Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club (CRYSC) and CU Sports Medicine to determine the effects of neuromuscular training on performance and knee injury risk in youth female soccer athletes.

The Movement Ability Measure (MAM) assesses the “movement gap” in the athlete’s perceptions of current and preferred movement capabilities in six dimensions: flexibility, strength, accuracy, speed, adaptability, and endurance. The MAM has 18 questions and each question contains six statements representing six increasing movement ability levels addressing how athletes feel about their current movement ability and how they would prefer to move during activities of daily life and sports participation.
